…any method that is used to cause your brainwave frequencies to move in sync with the method being used (whether it be sound frequencies, flashing lights, chanting, the steady beating of a drum etc.) is a form of brainwave entrainment.
Binaural beats and isochronic tones have a lot of popularity among the new age and self help crowd, but on the main the science is unheard of by the general populace. But this can rapidly change as brainwave entrainment gains new recognition as we progress further into the twenty-first century and people seek more and more inner peace of mind.
Some believe that brainwave entrainment is different than actual meditation. But the brainwave entrainment method of listening to binaural beats and isochronic tones in place of regular meditation practice doesnt really exist because listening to an mp3 or cd that is embedded with either binaural beats or isochronic tones is actually a way of meditating. In other words one of the main purposes of meditation is the training of the mind to exit an active, anxious, stressful beta level of mind, and dip into a more calm and relaxing alpha state of mind, and even beyond into theta and delta…

About the author
I've been an entrepreneur in printing, graphics, web design and computer programming for 20 years. I've been a musician all of my life starting on piano, then to clarinet, bass guitar, and now use Reason & Tracktion for composing and mixing. (My Mom says I sang before I talked) I also use Tracktion to mix my binaural beats into the background music and sounds used in our products. Much of the ambient music used by Brain Beats Audio is written and produced by me. I've been creating and using subliminal recordings and brainwave entrainment products since the 1980's. I've noticed over the last few years that binaural beats and brainwave entrainment have grown immensely in popularity. I've also noticed that the quality of most of the products being sold today is sub-par. Even the big names in brainwave entrainment right now sell recordings that are low in quality and they are still able to command top dollar for their products (names end in "sync") ;)
I hope you enjoy the quality products produced here at Brainwave Directions. If you have suggestions for new products or are interested in custom work, please don't hesitate to contact me at gregg@brainwv.com.
